Cubs in Summerston, Maryhill, Glasgow

A load of activities...

We've been working hard to keep you guys busy recently... and there are more activities coming up...

We'll be visiting Saracen Police Station on Thursday 11th March. Here's a map of where to find it. Thanks to Fraser for organising the visit, and to Strathclyde Police for having us! Cubs can visit their kid friendly website "Station Kids" to find out more about what they do.

We won't have a meeting on Friday 12th March because we'll be at the Police Station on Thursday.

On Sunday 14th March there will be a hike to the Whangie which is a big rock formation... some of the lads went there a while ago. You can download and compete the ODA Form for this. It's due by Friday 26th March. Places are limited to 5 Cubs. You can add another "Hikes Away" to your tally... will you earn another Badge?

Then there will be a Muddy Bike Ride on Sunday 28th March. This will be a fairly flat ride mainly on local tracks and paths... check out the pics of some of the lads on this type of ride in the past. We'll also need you all to attend a "Maintenance meeting" on Monday 22nd March at Caldercuilt School Car Park from 1600-1730. This helps you to earn your Cyclist Badge if you don't already have it, and also lets us check your bikes are safe for the trip. Places are limited to 8 Cubs. The ODA Form can be downloaded, and is due back by Thursday 11th March.

I'm also wanting to find out if any of the Cubs are interested in taking part in the North Glasgow 5km Fun Run in April. Please complete the tear-off slip at the bottom of the Events Diary so I know whether to offer this activity or not.
