Winter Hike

On the 6th of December, we embarked on a trip along the canal to greet the nearing Winter time. We were happy to find out that the canal was frozen with a thick layer of ice and there was frost everywhere! Of course, we were well equpped with caps, gloves, scarfs, but of course, it was near to impossible to keep all of them on each of the Cubs!

But there was more to it than just walking! The Cubs were divided into two teams, which were supposed to be looking for a treasure. It was to be found after solving a number of tasks, including counting the trees, guessing what animals live near the canal and even decyphering a secret message!

After exploring the frozen canal, as well as the dense forest area, where we tried to lit a small fire (and succeeded!) using R's fire starting kit, we got to the treasure site with our noses red. Congratulations to S, R and R, whose team discovered the treasure and generously shared it with the rest of us!
