The Fire & Rescue Service very kindly showed us around their Maryhill Station on Friday evening.
We learnt how to make a 999 call, and we heard a bit about what sort of things the Fire & Rescue Service deal with.
The noise was a bit much for some of our lads when the siren was set off...
...and they all really enjoyed having a go with the fire hose on one of the Pumps.
By attending, the Cubs have earned part of the Home Safety, Community Challenge, and Local Knowledge Badges. If you complete the questions about Home Safety, you can continue earning this badge.

Fire Station Visit
All the Cubs were also given a whole booklet about road safety by the Fire Fighters. If you complete the booklet, you will have done many of the things required to earn your Road Safety Badge too!
