Welcome to the new term…

I've written to all parents / guardians with the following information...

First Pack Meeting

The first actual Pack Meeting for all Cubs will be Friday 4th September. You can download a diary of dates for this term to keep you right.

Cub Camp

Parents / Guardians of Cubs attending the camp are invited to a pre-camp information meeting on Friday 21st Aug at 1900 for about 1 hour. This will be held at the Scout Hall on Cumlodden Drive. Cubs who will be at camp should attend too.

Badges Challenge

I’m keen for your Cubs to achieve as many badges as they can. This is one way we can keep things varied, help them to try new things, learn new skills and keep rewarding them for their achievements.

Please help us to help them do this… There is a letter to the Cubs themselves asking them to make a couple of things during this term. Please find out what Six your Cub is in (the colour of their woggle)… and make sure they come prepared on the relevant dates.

New Leaders

I’ve been recruiting new Leaders and Assistants over the last few months to help run Cubs. Graham and I both have variable availability due to work commitments, and we hope that the new additions to our team will allow 4th Glasgow Cubs to continue to thrive. I’m sure you will offer all our new team members a warm welcome. They are Chris, Donna, Jacquie, Katie and Neil. We’re always keen to hear from any parents, relatives or friends who would like to help us… chat to Spud if you know of anyone!

Activities

I’ll be running a Muddy Bike Ride (Sat 19th Sept, 1400-1900) and a Navigators Hike (Sun 4th Oct, 1330-1800). Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Permission forms and payment need to be returned to secure a place. Download and print the forms using the above links. Cheques should be made payable to Andy Neilson.

Updating Our Records

Some of you have not yet returned the “Update of Cub Membership Details and Consents” forms I sent at the end of last term. Please complete one and post it directly to me.

Cost of Activities

If you feel your Cub cannot attend any activity or event due to the cost, please discuss this with Graham or Spud. We’ll see what can be arranged!
